Founders

From soil knowledge to precision agriculture, a team focused on solutions with real-world field application.

Josefa Ferreira

Josefa Ferreira is the founder of CONTEXTO RURAL and a practical authority on soil work and the agronomic development of farms in the Alentejo region. With many years of field experience, she has overseen the growth of large production areas and stands out for the way she places soil at the center of technical decision-making. On her own estates, she has long applied an agricultural vision focused on the progressive improvement of the soil, its structure, its life, and its productive capacity.

João Noéme

At the intersection of technology, monitoring, and agricultural operations, João Noéme has built a career strongly focused on the practical application of precision agriculture. As the founder of TERRAPRO, he has overseen the introduction of solutions that help better understand the farm, reduce inefficiencies, and support more rigorous decision-making. His work is based on a pragmatic vision of innovation: technology at the service of the field, management, and execution.

The Process

The process begins with a clear baseline, followed by a phased transition plan, field implementation and ongoing optimisation based on measurable results.

01

Assessment

Assess the plot, measure indicators, and define the starting point to make decisions with confidence.

02

Transition

Plan rotations, restructure habitats, and pursue farm sustainability while respecting the ecosystem.

03

Implementation

Introduce species intercropping in cover crops, partially replace synthetic products with organic solutions, and preserve soil aggregates.
